Meet Our Grief Therapy Dogs

Meet Our Grief Therapy Dogs

Moona (left) is a young female Newfoundland who will gladly accept your affections. She is a gentle giant and will stand gracefully with you in your grief.

Lenny (right/black) is a seasoned golden retriever doodle who brings comfort, calm and peace to those who are grieving.

Zoie (right/black & white) is a young Australian shepherd doodle and still in training, but she brings light and energy to any room. Her heterochromatic eyes show sensitivity and knowing.

Pet therapy is proven to make people feel calmer, reduce stress, and lower blood pressure. It may also help increase serotonin levels which helps fight depression.

Our grief therapy dogs are available to help people with the following:

  • When families are making funeral arrangements for a loved one
  • During calling hours
  • At a children’s activity prior to a funeral service
  • During a funeral service

If you would like for one of our amazing grief comfort animals to attend your Schoedinger funeral or memorial service, please let your funeral director know. We will make every effort to have a dog available at your service.

Pet Loss & Services

At Schoedinger, we are animal lovers. Our pets are part of the family and we treat them as such. The unconditional love of a pet is why we  become so attached to them.  It is also why their deaths weigh so  heavily on our hearts.

In 1995, we created Schoedinger Pet Services to give families a place to grieve, memorialize and celebrate the time shared with their loyal,  loving pet. With over a century of experience in the funeral industry, we know a meaningful farewell can help begin the healing process.
