Willow

At Schoedinger, we are animal lovers. Our pets are part of the family and we treat them as such. The unconditional love of a pet is why we become so attached to them.  It is also why their deaths weigh so heavily on our hearts.

In 1995, we created Schoedinger Pet Services to give families a place to grieve, memorialize and celebrate the time shared with their loyal, loving pet. With over a century of experience in the funeral industry, we know a meaningful farewell can help begin the healing process.  Contact our Pet Services department at (614) 224-0010 or visit our website at https://www.schoedingerpets.com/

Grief Therapy Dog

Pet therapy is proven to make people feel calmer, reduce stress, and lower blood pressure. It may also help increase serotonin levels which helps fight depression.

Willow, Schoedinger’s own Grief Therapy Dog, is available to help people with the following:

  • When families are making funeral arrangements for a loved one

  • During calling hours

  • At a children’s activity prior to a funeral service

  • During a funeral service

If you would like for Willow to come and meet your staff or residents (for Nursing Homes and Rehab Centers, Assisted Living and Memory Support, and Independent Living), please complete the form below.  Willow is happy to visit Senior Housing and Healthcare facilities on a limited basis - serving our families and attending funeral services is her primary function as she is a Grief Therapy Dog.
