In the caregiving environment, professionals are often asked to help their patients and families with a variety of situations and circumstances.  This may be helping to obtain veterans benefits or helping to understand the process of Medicaid Spend-down.

  •  Caregiver List is a website that provides helpful information for understanding and applying for Veteran’s Aid and Attendance benefits.

  • Families facing financial issues regarding a loved one’s healthcare may be advised to prepare for Medicaid.  The Ohio Department of Medicaid has helpful information for families who may qualify for Medicaid.

  • The Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging has information about the PASSPORT and Senior Options programs.  Their organization serves Delaware, Licking, Fairfield, Fayette, Franklin, Madison, Pickaway and Union counties.

  • LifeCare Alliance has many programs that serve the senior population of Central Ohio, as well as others in need, including Meals on Wheels and Groceries-to-go.

  • LeadingAgeOhio, serving the home health, hospice and palliative organizations of Central Ohio, is an excellent resource for current information on these industries including changes in legislation and healthcare policy in our state.

  • The Ohio Department of Aging also offers information on the many other programs available to seniors and their families, including helpful publications.
